A New Watercolour Journey

Faith The Fox

There’s Something Magical About Watercolours.

The way colour moves with water, flowing into unexpected shapes, soft edges and gentle textures. My newest paintings began as an experiment in watercolour, and it has now grown into the starting point for my 2026 art calendar.

The Shift From Pastels to Watercolour.

As many of you know, i’ve spent years working in pastel. It’s a medium that lends itself to detail, every mark can be deliberate and controlled. Shifting into watercolour has both been exciting and tricky for me. With pastels I can hold on tightly to the fine detail, but watercolour asks for something different. It demands that I let go, allow the pigment to move with the water and embrace the unpredictable. At times it’s uncomfortable, like stepping into a new rhythm where my old habits don’t fit.

Watercolour forces me to focus less on perfection and more on mood, flow, and atmosphere and slowly i’m learning to love the softness and new art it brings.

A Glimpse of the 2026 Calendar

The 2026 calendar will showcase a collection of my watercolours. From fresh spring greens to deep water blues, each month will carry a painting that holds a sense of time, season and mood.

I love the thought that this calendar won’t just mark dates, but also bring a touch of art to everyday life. A daily reminder to pause and see the beauty in the small moments.

I will be sharing previews as i continue to explore the world of watercolour and build the collection for the 2026 calendar.
